SUMMARY:M60
DESCRIPTION:Live at The Sugarmill on Friday 18th September\, indie outfit M60 will take our stage for a special headline show. \nIndie rock band M60 formed from various towns across Greater Manchester. Started by school friends Matthew Morton (vocals/ guitar) and Bradley Smith (drums) in 2015. In 2021 they recruited Max Phillips (bass) and in 2025 they were joined by Owen Baldwin (lead guitar). The four-piece are in the game of creating guitar-led noise with an undeniable Manc twang which takes shape in the form of energetic and anthemic tunes. \nM60 came onto the scene in 2016 with their debut single ‘Honey’ showing a youthful exuberance and early signs of promise. Most notably though\, the band showed real signs of maturity with their 2018 release ‘I Don’t Mind’. Finding the sweet spot of indie rock with an infectious bassline and a melodic guitar. \nWith five UK tours completed including sell out show at Gorilla in Manchester in March 2023\, the Academy 2 in December 2023 and a sold out UK tour culminating in a career defining sell out show at Manchester’s New Century Hall in April 2025. The band have set a foundation throughout the UK and have seen an increase in popularity through their newer work ‘Fade Away’‘ \, ‘Let Me Know’ & ‘Darling‘

SUMMARY:A CERTAIN RATIO: SEXTEXT + FORCE ANNIVERSARY TOUR
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss out on Factory Records legends\, A Certain Ratio\, live at The Sugarmill on Friday 23rd October 2026! \nIn October\, ACR will be hitting the road to celebrate the anniversary of their classic and beloved albums\, Sextet and Force. Both albums will be played in full with an interval in between and some surprises thrown in. \nIt’s been 45 years since ACR went into Revolution Studios in Cheadle Hulme\, Stockport to record the 1982 album Sextet and it’s been 40 years since the release of the 1986 album Force which was also recorded in Stockport but at Yellow 2. Sextet is ACR’s most critically acclaimed album and it was the first album they produced as ACR\, it includes the majestic Lucinda and the live favourite Knife Slits Water. Force is one of their most commercial albums\, produced by ACR and the late Stuart (Jammer) James and is their last album on Factory Records\, it includes funky masterpiece Mickey Way and live party favourite Si Firmo O Grido.    \nEach album is starkly different to each other yet very clearly ACR. \n“We’re celebrating these two milestones with this tour to say we are very excited is an understatement. It will be a real challenge\, which we’ve already started preparing for\, with nine months to go! We will be playing two sets with no support”

SUMMARY:SKIDS / THEATRE OF HATE
DESCRIPTION:Two era defining artists SKIDS & THEATRE OF HATE come together this autumn for an explosive UK co-headline tour. \nSKIDS\nThe Skids formed in 1977 in their hometown of Dunfermline\, Scotland by Richard Jobson\, Stuart Adamson\, Bill Simpson & Tom Kellichan. After releasing an independent single the band was played by John Peel\, supported The Clash in concert and then were signed to Virgin Records in 1978. Their first singles were “Sweet Surburbia”\, “The Saints are Coming” and “Into the Valley” – the latter reaching the UK Top Ten in early 1979.\nTheir seminal debut album “Scared to Dance” came out in 1979 which was quickly followed by two chart singles – “Masquerade” and “Working for the Yankee Dollar”. Both singles were taken from the Bill Nelson produced second album “Days in Europa”. The album also featured new member Rusty Egan of Rich Kids & Visage fame after the departure of Tom Kellichan. The band released two more albums “The Absolute Game” (1980) and “Joy” (1981) before splitting.\nThe current Skids line up sees the lineup stripped back to an explosive 4 piece with Richard Jobson\, Peter Byrchmore (Membranes)\, Hernandez (Drums) & Connor Whyte (Guitar). \nTHEATRE OF HATE\nIn 1980\, Kirk Brandon formed THEATRE OF HATE from the ashes of heralded punk band The Pack. Joining Kirk on vocals were notable punk musicians Stan Stammers and Luke Rendall\, along with old school friend\, Steve Guthrie and Canadian born John “Boy” Lennard\, who revolutionised the band’s sound with his haunting sax lines.\nTheatre Of Hate’s debut double-A-side single\, “Legion”/”Original Sin”\, topped the independent chart in 1980\, and “Westworld”\, their debut album\, produced by Mick Jones from The Clash and released in 1982\, held the number one position for 21 weeks. The single taken from the album\, “Do You Believe In The West- world?” has become an anthem and is still widely played in clubs and on international radio\, as well as featuring on numerous compilation albums.\nTheatre Of Hate imploded in 1982\, with Kirk taking Stan forward to form Spear Of Destiny\, but the band has resurfaced over the years to play some very special shows across the UK\, Europe and the USA.\nThe band now have a settled line up of Kirk Brandon\, Stan Stammers\, Chris Bell & Clive Osborne who astound their loyal fanbase with high-octane live shows featuring new songs and classics from their back catalogue.
